The City of Owensboro is proud to sponsor a Rain Barrel Workshop, presented by the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service. 

WHEN: Thursday, April 13, 2023. There will be two sessions. 1:00 - 3:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM

WHERE: Regional Water Resource - Agency Shop.  2101 Grimes Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42303 (Also known as the Joseph Murphy Operations Building on the corner of Grimes Ave. and East Parrish Ave.)

WHAT: Participants will learn from a University of Kentucky Extension Specialist how to
make and maintain a rain barrel. There will be a hands-on portion of the
workshop where attendees will construct a rain barrel to take home and use. All
barrels are re-purposed food grade barrels.

REGISTRATION: The fee is $30 to build one rain barrel. Space is limited. You must be present to claim your barrel. One barrel per household please.
