What: Owensboro Daviess County Youth Football League and City of Owensboro to Unveil Wall of Fame at Waymond Morris Football Complex

When: Saturday, August 17 at 10:30 a.m.

The Owensboro Daviess County Youth Football League and City officials will unveil the inaugural plaques for the league’s Wall of Fame on Saturday, August 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the Waymond Morris Football Complex.

Honorees will include:

• Houston Hogg, former Daviess County High School and University of Kentucky player, who was instrumental in breaking the color barrier for the Southeastern Conference in the 1960’s. and impacted the lives of many through his fostering of over 200 youth in the Owensboro, Daviess county area;
• Vince Buck, former ODCYFL player, OHS graduate, Central State Ohio player, and NFL player for the New Orleans Saints;
• Mark Higgs, former ODCYFL player, OHS graduate, UK player, and NFL player for the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, and Arizona Cardinals;
• Kenny Willis, former ODCYFL player, OHS graduate, UK player, and NFL player Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the New York Giants;
• Zane Beehn, former ODCYFL player, AHS graduate, UK player, and NFL player for the San Diego Chargers;
• Justin Miller, former ODCYFL player, OHS graduate, Clemson University player, and NFL player New York Jets, Oakland Raiders, Arizona Cardinals, and Detroit Lions.
• Chris Brown, former ODCYFL player, Notre Dame player, and NFL player Pittsburgh Steelers
