CITY OF OWENSBORO TO CELEBRATE ARBOR DAY WITH TREE PLANTING
The City of Owensboro, in partnership with the Northwest Neighborhood Alliance, Owensboro Black Expo, and Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline, will plant fifteen (15) Crepe Myrtle trees in celebration of Arbor Day. This event will take place at Moneta Sleet Jr. Park (formerly Max Rhoads Park) located at Seventh and Walnut Streets on Friday, April 29 at 1:30 p.m.
Mayor Watson will present the annual Arbor Day Proclamation. The public is invited to attend and celebrate Arbor Day with us. In the event of rain, the tree planting will be Friday, May 6 at 1:30 p.m.
Thank you to Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline for their generous donation of new trees which our community can enjoy for many years to come.
