Commissioner Pamela Smith-Wright Elected President of Kentucky Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials

Owensboro City Commissioner Pamela Smith-Wright was elected as the President of the Kentucky Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials at the Kentucky League of Cities Conference, which took place October 7-10, 2014 at the Galt House in Louisville, Kentucky. Former Kentucky Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials President, Mayor Bill Scheckles, now Kentucky League of Cities President, swore in the new officers at the conference this past week.
In addition to Commissioner Smith-Wright’s new position, she currently serves on the board of directors for Kentucky League of Cities. She also received a level two – Excellence in City Government certificate for training conducted at the conference.
