CSX RAILROAD WORK PHASE II TO BEGIN

 

Starting Monday, April 25^th, a contractor with CSX Railroad will begin work on Phase II for rail crossings throughout the City of Owensboro. CSX Railroad will post signs in advance of work on major streets and intersections. Multiple streets could be closed at once. The Phase II schedule will last until May 13^th pending no delays.

 

First week closures from Mile Post 120 to Post 115 will include: Rinaldo Road, Harbor Road, Triad Drive, Ebach Street, and West 2^nd Street.

 

Second week closures from Mile Post 115 to Post 112 will include: West 5th Street, Crabtree Avenue, Moreland Street, Plum Street, Maple Street, West 9^th Street, West 10^th Street, Walnut Street, West 11^th Street, Cedar Street, Locust Street, Allen Street,  JR Miller Boulevard, East 11^th Street, Mosley Street, Triplett Street, East 9^th Street, Breckenridge Street, Leitchfield Road, Wing Avenue, and Alsop Lane.

 

The closures will only affect the portion of the street that is connected to the railroad. Please use caution and attention in these areas. Appropriate detours will be posted.
