DUGAN BEST RECREATION CENTER THANKSGIVING ACTIVITIES
Food Drive for Thanksgiving Baskets – Collection Ends November 20
Dugan Best Recreation Center and Breaking the Cycle are hosting a food drive to create Thanksgiving baskets for families in the neighborhood. Canned and other non-perishable foods can be dropped off by November 20 at the following locations:
- Parks & Recreation Administrative Center – 1530 McJohnson Avenue
- Office Hours: Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Closed for lunch 11:30a.m.-12:30 p.m.
- Dugan Best Recreation Center – 1003 Omega Street
- Operational Hours: Monday- Friday 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Closed on Sunday
Turkey Shoot – Wednesday, November 22 at 5:00 p.m.
This annual tradition will organize participants into three different age brackets (Ages 9-13, 14-16 and 17-18) for a basketball skills competition. It will include a 3-point and free throw contest. The lucky winner from each age group will receive a FREE turkey. Additionally, three Thanksgiving baskets will be given away.
