Dugan Best Recreation Center to partner with Breaking the Cycle Mentor Group to offer a Back to School Bash for Area Residents

 

The Dugan Best Recreation Center will partner with Breaking the Cycle Mentor Group in celebrating the end of summer and the beginning of a new school year.

Breaking the Cycle offers activities for youth ages 9 – 17. The group meets at the Dugan Best Recreation Center and works to inspire the youth of our community to go after their dreams and to prepare for the future.

The Back to School Bash will take place on Saturday, August 5 from noon to 4 p.m. Activities for youth ages 8-18 include water fun, games, inflatables, free school supplies, free food, give-a-aways and free haircuts/hairstyles. Representatives and vehicles from the Owensboro Fire Department and the Owensboro Police Department will also be on hand. The event is free and open to the public.
