MOONLIGHT RIDE – EXPECT TRAFFIC DELAYS
The City of Owensboro will be hosting the third annual Moonlight Ride on Friday, June 3rd at 9:30pm. This will be a nine mile bicycle ride starting downtown along the river and heading down J.R. Miller Boulevard. For the safety of riders, numerous roads and intersections will be temporarily closed.
J.R. Miller Boulevard will be closed from the Martin Luther King Jr. Loop to 25th Street from approximately 9:30pm until 10:30pm.
J.R. Miller Boulevard will have temporary closures of all intersections from 4th Street south to 25th Street from 9:30pm until approximately 11:00pm. Once the Moonlight Ride is completed, streets will re-open.
Drivers are encouraged to use Highway 60 (former by-pass) for all east/west traffic to avoid any delays.
