OWENSBORO AIR SHOW WEEKEND SEPTEMBER 11-13 ACTIVITIES AND CLOSINGS

 

The City of Owensboro invites the region to the Owensboro Air Show Saturday and Sunday, September 11-13, 2015.  The weekend’s activities are as follows: 

 

• Friday, September 11 (4:00 PM – 8:30 PM) - static display and nighttime performances at Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport (admission is $2.00 per person; kids 10 and under are free);
• Saturday and Sunday, September 12-13 -1:00 p.m. – Owensboro Air Show over the Ohio River with public viewing locations along the riverfront with vendors. 

 

The Glover Cary Bridge will be closed on the following days and times:

 

• Friday, September 11 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Saturday, September 12 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Sunday, September 13 from 12:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

 

In addition, the bridge will be open for the public to walk across the bridge from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 12.

 

Please note that the English Park boat ramp will close from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Please visit www.owensboroairshow.com for more information about the performers.  The Owensboro Air Show is sponsored by Independence Bank, the City of Owensboro, Lambert – St. Louis International Airport, Cape Air, Century Aluminum, Steve Jones, Holiday Inn & Suites, Courtyard Marriott, WBKR, WOMI, Wright Implement, and Chick-fil-A.
