Friday June 17, 2016 4:33 PM
The City of Owensboro’s Edge Ice Center is accepting registrations for its summer session II of Learn-to-Skate classes. The Learn-to-Skate program is part of the ISI’s (Ice Skating Institute) WeSkate program, the nation’s largest recreational ice skating organization. The summer sessions are a great opportunity to introduce a new interest to both children and adults, and parents can take the classes alongside their child if they wish.
Classes are available for all ages and abilities, from three years to adult, and are conducted in a group setting. Classes take place Saturday mornings, July 9-30, for the beginner levels, and Monday afternoons, July 11-August 1, for the advanced levels. The registration fee is only $25 per person for the full session, and includes instruction, practice ice, and skate rental. Deadline to register is July 8.
To register, call Owensboro Parks and Recreation Administrative Center at 270-687-8700 or the Edge Ice Center at 270-687-8720. For more information about our Learn-to-Skate program, please visit our website at www.owensboroparks.org.
