THANKSGIVING EVENTS WITH OWENSBORO PARKS & RECREATION

 

The Edge Ice Center

The Edge Ice Center will host several special public skate sessions along with regularly scheduled sessions.

November 22: 7:00-9:30 p.m.

Saturday, November 23: 1:00-3:30 p.m., 7:00-9:30 p.m.

Sunday, November 24: 1:00-3:30 p.m.

Wednesday, November 27: 1:00-3:30 p.m. (Admission includes Turkey Bowl activity)

Friday, November 29: 1:00-3:30 p.m., 7:00-9:30 p.m.

Saturday, November 30: 1:00-3:30 p.m., 7:00-9:30 p.m.

Sunday, December 1: 1:00-3:30 p.m.

Admission is $7.00/person and includes a skate rental or $6.00/person if you bring your own skates. Parents or guardians not skating is $2.00/person. Participants under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older at ALL TIMES.

 

 

 

Turkey Bowl at the Edge Ice Center – Wednesday, November 27

All skaters will be given an opportunity to bowl.. a turkey! If the skater makes a strike, they’ll take home a turkey. This event will go on while supplies last. 1:00-3:30 p.m.

Skate your Turkey Off – Friday, November 29

After a day of feasting with family, head to the Edge Ice Center to “skate your turkey off”. Get a FREE hot dog with admission. 1:00-3:30 p.m.

 

Dugan Best Recreation Center:

Turkey Shoot – Wednesday, November 27 at 5:00 p.m.

This annual tradition will organize participants into three different age brackets (Ages 9-13, 14-16 and 17-18) for a basketball skills competition. It will include a 3-point and free throw contest.  The lucky winner from each age group will receive a FREE turkey. Additionally, three Thanksgiving baskets will be given away.
