CITY OF OWENSBORO TO CELEBRATE ARBOR DAY 2018
WITH TREE PLANTING
The City of Owensboro, Public Works Grounds Division, and Parks and Recreation Department will be planting 14 trees in celebration of Arbor Day 2018 at Moreland Park on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. Two of these trees will be planted to honor citizens in our community who have made a significant impact toward the preservation of nature in Owensboro: Joe Ford (Naturalist) and Eddie Atherton (Retired City Arborist). The annual Arbor Day proclamation will be presented by Mayor Tom Watson. The public is invited to attend to celebrate Arbor Day with us.
