DUGAN BEST RECREATION CENTER 40^TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION MONDAY, OCTOBER 27

 

The City of Owensboro invites the public to celebrate 40 year anniversary of the Dugan Best Recreation Center and the conclusion of the Mechanicsville Neighborhood Redevelopment on Monday, October 27 at 5:30 p.m.  The celebration will be hosted at the Dugan Best Recreation Center located at 1003 Omega Street. Come early for food and fun.

 

Dugan Best Recreation Center has served the community for 40 years by providing a wholesome, quality, clean and safe environment along with a wide range of programs and services. The Center’s current operating schedule while school is in session is Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from noon – 8:00 p.m.

 

The Mechanicsville Neighborhood Redevelopment has improved the quality of the community through construction of 40 new homes, renovation of 47 existing homes, and improvements to sidewalks, transportation and beautification for a total public and private investment from 2010-2014 of $8.6 million.
