The City of Owensboro’s Edge Ice Center is now accepting registrations for its summer classes of the ISI Learn-to-Skate Ice Skating Program. The ISI (Ice Skating Industry) introduced the first National Learn-to-Skate Program in the United States in 1959, and has since introduced more than 10 million individuals to the world of ice skating.
Classes are available in June and July for all abilities and are conducted in a group setting. Children must be at least 3 years of age. Classes take place on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and will run for four weeks. Each class consists of 30 minutes of practice time and 30 minutes of instruction time. The registration fee is only $38 per person for the full session and includes instruction, practice ice, and skate rental. June classes begin June 4 and the deadline to register is May 31.
Participants may register online at www.owensboroparks.org, or by calling the Owensboro Parks and Recreation Administrative Center, 270-687-8700, or the Edge Ice Center, 270-687-8720.
