PYROTECHNIC EVENT FOR CITY’S BIRD CONTROL PROGRAM ON MONDAY, MARCH 9
In the interest of human health and safety, a pyrotechnic event, which is part of the City of Owensboro’s blackbird control program, will take place in the area from Roosevelt Road and Booth Avenue and from Lewis Lane and Frederica Street on Monday, March 9 in the late afternoon.
A wildlife specialist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s APHIS Wildlife Services will set off pyrotechnics each evening. Residents in the area should expect the loud noises and flashing lights from the controlled pyrotechnics during that time.
