SEVEN HILLS NEIGHBORHOOD ALLIANCE TO HOST YARD SALE
AND NEIGHBORHOOD CLEANUP
The Seven Hills Neighborhood Alliance will host its annual Yard Sale Fiesta on Friday and Saturday, June 5 and June 6.
Neighbors are invited to host their own yard sales and encouraged to consider donating $5.00 to $10.00 of their proceeds to the Seven Hills Neighborhood Alliance to help offset the costs of advertising for the yard sale and to support various community improvement projects. Donations can be sent to the City of Owensboro, P.O. Box 10003, Owensboro, Kentucky 42302.
The neighborhood will also host a neighborhood cleanup from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 13. All residents in the cleanup areas are invited to help beautify the neighborhood by picking up litter along sidewalks and streets on their cleanup day. The Sanitation Department will provide free curbside pickup for junk furniture, appliances and other items to its residential customers in this neighborhood alliance area. Items must be left at the curb by Friday night prior to the day of the cleanup. If you have items to set out, please call the City Action Line at 687-4444 or e-mail cityaction@owensboro.org BY THE WEDNESDAY BEFORE THE CLEANUP. Smaller items must be bagged or boxed. The sanitation crews CANNOT pick up construction debris/materials, yard waste, dirt, paint or any type of liquid.
The Seven Hills Neighborhood Alliance includes the neighborhoods of Trinity Hills, Heartland Subdivision, Estes, Rolling Heights and Chautauqua Park. The neighborhood alliance meets at 7:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month at Trinity United Methodist Church. For more information, contact Abby Shelton.
